MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Our membership is the heart of our organization.
All programs below are included in the membership subscription.
Weekly
Open Forum Q&A
Mondays 11am-12pm
Join us as we address all your art-related questions! We talk about rejection, artist submissions and opportunities, the latest social media trends, the best newsletter platforms, imposter syndrome, how to find a gallery where you fit, ways to sell your art and much more.
Book Club
Wednesdays 11am-12pm
Meet virtually with your fellow artists to discuss passages of an art book. At each zoom meeting, we share a book on the screen, read it together, and discuss it section by section (no preparation necessary). Previous readings include “How to be an Artist” by Jerry Saltz. Inspired by Samantha Fields’s CSUN grad school art book club.
Co-Working Sessions
Thursdays 11am-12pm
Zoom meet-ups working alone, but together. Great for accountability & deadlines. Use the energy of the group to get work done. Our virtual coworking sessions provide artists the experience of 'working alongside' each other. This is a great way to get work done you have been procrastinating on. Most artists find it helpful to have other people around doing the same things. Whatever you're working on, we can help each other to do more by having a set time to come together and concentrate on work in silence, without distractions.
Monthly
Critique Groups
2nd Sundays 11am-1pm
Art World Speaker
Join our monthly online critique session. Each artist can share their work or project on Zoom, ask for specific feedback, and receive advice and constructive criticism.
Once a month, we invite a different art professional to share their experience and help you navigate the industry. Previous guests include curators, gallerists, writers, historians, artists, and collectors.
In-Person Meet-Ups
Come meet your fellow artists at an in-person event. Each month, we meet at galleries, studios, and museums to see and discuss art, learn about new techniques or styles, make new connections and have fun.
Ongoing
Private Facebook Group
This is a safe space outside of our meetings to chat about anything related to your art practice. Are you stuck? Not sure what you want to do? Going to an opening and want company? Do you have an opening coming up that you want to share? It is about building a community of friends, cheerleaders and peers who know what you are going through. What is said here, stays here!!
Accountability Partners
We will pair you with another artist so you can work together throughout your studio practice. An accountability partner can help you see your work from different angles, develop your art practice, motivate, inspire, teach, and offer encouragement. Through this program, you can share resources, tools, and techniques from your own experiences to help each other grow personally and professionally.
Studio Visit Exchange
Use our exchange program to build confidence in hosting studio visits, talking about your work, and attending other artists' studio visits. We will pair you up with another artist and you can schedule studio visits via zoom or in person.
Artist Registry
We will feature your work on our website, to be viewed by curators, gallerists, collectors and other artists. Browse by name, location, art style, medium and more. We will also spotlight work from our artist directory on our social media.
Social Media PR
We believe in helping artists get their work seen. We are happy to share your artwork and events on our social media platforms in order to help you gain more exposure.
Call for Art Subscription
Tired of taking time out of your studio to research calls for artists? Let us do it for you. Our Call for Art newsletter provides you with a carefully researched and neatly organized list of opportunities. Filtered for the best results, our newsletter focuses on exhibitions with top curators and jurors; galleries that will give you the best exposure and sales; institutions that accept exhibition proposals; grants, residencies and fellowships to help you move your career forward; and exhibition proposals and RFQs for solo shows and bigger projects. Spend your time answering calls instead of looking for them!
